To install Windows on a Mac using VirtualBox: To virtualize Windows on Mac M1, you’ll need an emulator like QEMU (and a lot of time and patience). Apple computers with the new M1 chip are NOT supported. Just remember that VirtualBox (just like VMware Fusion) only runs on Intel-based Macs. Unless you plan to use Windows in a virtual machine every day, we recommend that you start with the free solutions and only consider purchasing a VMware Fusion license if VirtualBox doesn’t meet your expectations and needs. Follow the instructions to set up the drivers and everything you need to dual boot Windows on a Mac computer. Start Windows and wait for the Boot Camp installer to appear.Install Windows on the BOOTCAMP partition.Wait for Boot Camp Assistant to do its work until your Mac restarts and you see the Windows setup screen.Select the size of the Boot Camp partition (we recommend at least 64 GB) and click Install.Choose the Windows ISO file that you got earlier.Read the introduction and click Continue to proceed.Go to Applications > Utilities and launch Boot Camp Assistant.To run Windows on a Mac through Boot Camp: If you meet all these requirements, you can simply follow the instructions below.
